I do think the United States even during this economic crisis has beeen globizing. The United States has been global for a long time. I think the Cold War between the United States and Russia is the starting point of the United States globalizing.

United States ’ weapons sales is one a main examples of globalization. These sales didn’t really start until the Cold War. Even with the economic crisis happening today I feel the United States is still globalizing by the spread of our culture such as movies and music produced in the United States.

Most people in Memphis lean towards democratic values. Many people consider Memphis a democratic city. A persistent issue that Memphis deals with is the unemployment and homeless.

The current government deals with this in many different manners. They have started many homeless shelters to help the homeless. Dealing with the issue of the growing unemployment in Memphis they have started many new projects to help create new jobs for people.

Ultimate Frisbee

Many people know about Ultimate Frisbee, but do not know that it is a sport. Ultimate Frisbee teams have appeared throughout high schools and even colleges including UT. Frisbee is in the Olympics and tournaments on National levels happen every year. Spring is the actual Frisbee season but tournaments and leagues happen throughout the year.

Ultimate Frisbee teams usually have around fourteen members, but only seven play at once. In Ultimate you have two end zones on a field around the length of a soccer field. The Frisbee is thrown off to the other team in the beginning of the game and after each time a team scores. Once you catch the disc you are not allowed to move. A player can throw the disc in any manner to another teammate. Interceptions and turnovers, when the other team catches it and when the disc is dropped or hits the ground, happen often making the game have a fast pace.

Civil War Letter

Dear Mom and Dad,

I have decided to leave tonight to go serve for the north in the war that starts tomorrow. If you are reading this it means I was successful at leaving for the North. Please do not be angry that I have left to fight for the people you call enemies.

I know both of you do not believe in slavery strongly and only support the South because both of you are against the government controlling states, but slavery must be put to end. You must not be angry with me if you call our own slaves family. I will fight for the North because the North knows that not all plantation owners treat their slaves the same way we do. Most owners beat, murder, and commit even worse crimes to their slaves and I for one cannot stand by and watch that happen.

Once again please do not be angry with me for my decision. Also please do not fear for my safety I will be fine. I love all of you be save in the dangerous days to come.

One of the best games ever invented is Mario Kart for the N64. Mario Kart is the best for many reasons. These reasons include almost everyone can understand how to play it, Mario Kart is genuine fun, and it can be turned into different types of games.

Mario Kart is one of the simplest games to play almost anyone can do it. All you have to do is pick a character, select a race, then press A to go and use the toggle stick to steer, and also you can get a variety of weapons or traps which you use by pressing the Z button on the back of the controller. Mario Kart is genuine fun also everyone enjoys playing it even if there not good at it. Finally, Mario Kart can be used as other things; like the loser of the race will to do some thing or Mario Kart can be turned into Kario Mart.

The 70s

If I could live in another decade I would choose the 70’s. The 70’s has many aspects that appeal to me. These aspects include music, the culture of the time, and politics of this decade.

The music from the 70’s is one of the main reasons I would live in the 70’s. I feel like the music in this time period really exploded after Woodstock. Some of my favorite music was created in the 70’s. The culture of the time really appealed to me also. The time basically wanted to lead to a peaceful community. Finally, the politics of the time period interest me. The Vietnam War was coming to an end, which was a crucial time period for the United States.

Drinking Age

I personally feel that the legal drinking age should be turned to eighteen. I feel this way for several reason which are it will bring money to the U.S., lower alcohol deaths at the age of twenty-one, and many colleges have already accepted underage drinking. I know many people say your body isn’t ready for alcohol but that doesn’t stop the fact that underage drinking happens regularly.

If the drinking age is changed to eighteen the U.S can raise the taxes on alcohol, this would help with the current economy. Also, alcohol related deaths at the age of twenty one will decrease because twenty-one will no longer be that big of a deal. Finally, many colleges do not even punish underage drinking. They have come to except underage drinking as a part of college which helps the argument for the drinking age to be changed to eighteen.

The song My World by Kid Cudi is a song I love. It came out about a year ago. Many people expect all rap music to be the same just another song about money and women but with My World this isn’t the case. Kid Cudi with his song My World tries to reach out to the listeners telling them to try to achieve all their goals and let know one stop you. This is easily recognized with the lyrics “And none of y’all really cared about me / Now guess what I’m all you see, I’m all you see.” The lyrics inspire me to try to achieve everything I’ve ever wanted even when times are rough. Kid Cudi mentions in his song this will be my world meaning he will not stop till he has achieved his goals. These words have helped me through hard times in my life. The lyrics helped me realize that no one can stop me from realizing my dreams and making them come true.
